Fort Wayne, Indiana is now home to Bistro Bus, a food truck offering a COVID-19 alternative to dining at Bistro Nota, its parent restaurant.
The mobile food operation, which was a school bus at one time, was prompted by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, according to a Wane.com report.
"The bus is our answer to the issues of dining-in in a time when people don't really want to do so," Cam Kaminski, owner of Bistro Nota, a French restaurant, told the news outlet. "We spent the last couple of months working on how we can make it work in a very safe way."
The mobile eatery will be traveling to local neighborhoods and business areas. Customers can place orders online and swing by the truck's location for pickup. It's a completely contactless delivery as orders are put on shelves for pickup by guests, according to the report.
Bistro Nota restaurant is open with in-door dining at a 50% capacity.
