A Thomasville, North Carolina food truck, Sushi Empire, was heavily damaged by a collision, which knocked the food truck on its side. Owners Jesse Rothstein and Rebecca Yeen are now attempting to save the business, according to a report by Fox 8.

The exhaust, refrigeration, wiring and other pieces of equipment were destroyed by the crash. Since many of these parts are custom made, it can be difficult to replace.

"You know, we're trying to hang on to any type of hope because this is our dream, you know, we've probably been thinking about doing a business together for about 5 or 6 years, this has always been something that we've wanted to do," Rothstein said in the report. "We don't want to let this crush our dreams."

The driver who crashed into the food truck was charged with failure to maintain their lane.
