Jeremy Jeffress, a Cubs relief pitcher, recently took his food truck to the frontlines of the COVID-19 battle to feed healthcare workers.
The food truck, JJ's Bread and Butter, served workers at Banner Health in Arizona, according to a NBC Sports report.
The pitcher is an Arizona resident and the hospital is where he's been treated for his epilepsy.
"Just to help these guys out and show my appreciation for what they're doing,” Jeffress told the news outlet. "Because I know that they're stuck in there all day helping these people out with their coronavirus, and stuff like that, whatever the case may be."
Jeffress started his food truck in 2019 while playing for Milwaukee.
