Detroit food truck options serve up great flavors with local twist

For anyone seeking the top food truck choices in Detroit, a recent report by CBS Detroit lists some of the best options to be found on the street. Hoodline, a content technology company, crunched the numbers to determine the best food trucks in Detroit, using Yelp data and its own data to produce a ranked list of food trucks.

Detroit 75 Kitchen, at 4800 West Fort St., offering specialty sandwiches, fries and grab-and-go bites, is widely considered the best in the city, with a 4.5 average rating, based on 124 Yelp reviews. Favorite menu items include the Friday special Fisher Fwy Fish.

Mac Shack at 1227 E. Ten Mile Road, is known for its unique local take on mac 'n' cheese. The eatery boasts an average of four stars based on 86 Yelp reviews.

Nosh Pit Detroit, which has a traditional store location at 2995 Yemans in Hamtramck, specializes in vegan and vegetarian options.
