Detroit food truck refuses to serve law enforcement

September 10, 2018

A Detroit food truck owner has reportedly refused to serve law enforcement officials, claiming she and most of her customers don't feel safe around them, according to Fox News. Rocky Coronado, who owns Rocky's Road Brew, wrote in a Facebook post that has since been deleted that she had a right not to service police officers or Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers.

Coronado said in another post that she told two police officers Friday that she was closed in order to alleviate tensions caused by their presence. When the officers returned, she told them she did not serve law enforcement.

One of the police officers said Coronado said she was with the Michigan Humane Society, which provides animal welfare services. The organization did not return Fox News' requests for comment.

Fox News was unable to reach Coronado.
