Detroit restaurant rises from ashes to launch food truck

A Detroit restaurant, Taqueria El Rey, is coming back as a food truck venture after a fire devastated the business at the start of the year.

The Mexican food truck will be serving at 24th and Vernor Highway. The operator, Eliseo Fuentes, will also be opening a brick-and-mortar presence at 1715 Fort St. in Lincoln Park, according to a Detroit Eater report.

The truck should be up and operating by late November.
