Doughnut shop transforms into a home for nighttime food truck event

Congdon's Doughnuts in Wells, Maine sells its doughy confections during the day and will transform into a food truck festival location at night come May.

The shop has been in business since 1955. Opening day for its Congdon's After Dark food truck event is Thursday, May 26, according to a WJBQ report.

Its parking lot will be home to up to 10 trucks, and there will also be a beer garden, live music and fundraisers. It will operate Thursday through Sunday, from May 16 through June 19, then every day from June 23 to Sept.4 and then on Friday nights from Sept. 9 through Oct. 9.
