Dubai firm to debut food 'truck' that floats on water

Aquatic Architects Design Studio, a Dubai-based architectural service provider focused on water and floating structures, plans to introduce the world's first floating food truck, according to Food & Wine.

The Aqua Pod was designed to be sustainable, with a built-in trash system that collects waste dropped in the surrounding water.

The company developed two methods for food delivery from the Aqua Pod to customers, which include everyone from yachters and boaters to people on jet skis. One involves a flag system where customers in crafts receive a flag which they use to call waiters from the Aqua Pod. The order is delivered straight to their boats. The second delivery method allows people to order directly at the Aqua Pod using a smaller craft or jet ski.

The Aqua Pod is expected to hit the waters as early as next month in Dubai's Jumeirah neighborhood.
