April 23, 2020

The Fatburger food truck, a Los Angeles-based operation, is providing 10,000 free meals this month for healthcare workers on the front lines of battling COVID-19, the coronavirus pandemic.

The food truck has made stops at dozens of local hospitals during April, serving up to 500 meals at each location, according to a press release. This week it will serve at the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, Little Company of Mary Medical Center, Cedars-Sinai Medical Group - Wilshire, Cedars-Sinai Medical Group – Torrance and Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center.

The team will continue to work with hospitals and charities in Southern California to add more stops to continue this effort throughout the month of April.

"Los Angeles is a city of dreamers. Right now, our healthcare workers are fighting on our front lines to protect our city. We're humbled to help them in a small way as they fight to keep that dream alive for all of us," said Andy Wiederhorn, CEO, FAT Brands, in the release.
