The Los Angeles-based Fatburger food truck is rolling out on its second wave of delivering free food to frontline healthcare workers in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The food truck has already served up nearly 500 meals for local workers at regional hospitals and aims to provide 10,000 meals — more than double it planned on initially, according to a press release.
This week it served employees at the Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center, St. Francis Medical Center, Keck Medicine of USC, and PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital.
"Fatburger is extending a heartfelt thank you to its local healthcare heroes while they’re on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic," stated the release.
"Los Angeles is a city of dreamers. Right now, our healthcare workers are fighting on our front lines to protect our city. We're humbled to help them in a small way as they fight to keep that dream alive for all of us," said Andy Wiederhorn, CEO, FAT Brands, in the release.
