The Fayetteville, North Carolina city council put off voting on a proposal by Mayor Nat Robertson to sponsor a food truck festival every Wednesday over lunch at Festival Park between May and October, according to The Fayetteville Observer. Some council members had questions about the proposal, which would have waived fees and allowed the vendors to connect to the park's electric meters for free so they would not have to use noisy generators.
The city also would have staffed the weekly festival with a police officer and collected the trash.
The council agreed to further discuss the proposal over its work session Monday, which begins at 5 p.m. at City Hall.
