FDA hosting food stakeholder call-in this afternoon

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is hosting a call today for foodservice providers to learn how the government agency is responding to their concerns surrounding the coronavirus outbreak.

During the call at 3:45 p.m. EST, the FDA will provide an overview of its activities, respond to stakeholders' concerns identified in recent days and highlight important FDA resources in response to COVID-19 pandemic, according to a company press release.

The call will feature input and information from the Deputy Commissioner of the Office and Food Policy and Response Frank Yiannas, as well as Michael Rogers, assistant commissioner for Human and Animal Food, and Susan Mayne, the director of the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition.

The 30-minute call will be posted online for those unable to attend by calling the following number, and passcode at 3:40 p.m. Eastern:
