'Foodie Fest' coming to South Carolina

July 14, 2017

The first "Foodie Fest" will be 1-8 p.m. on Sunday, July 16 at the Civic Center of Anderson, when 15 or more food trucks from the tri-state area will converge on Anderson, South Carolina, according to The Independent Mail. The trucks will come in from Charlotte, Columbia and Charleston.

"The idea is to work with non-profits of my choosing and bring together food trucks from all across the Southeast," said Lauren Jackson, who will coordinate the food truck rallies to benefit charities. "We pull it together with different entertainment and bring the community together at the same time we help non-profit groups."

Admission is $5. A portion of the food truck sales will go to Foothills Alliance along with portions of the admission fee. Tickets are available at eventbrite.com, and there will be an extra charge for admission to the children's play area.

Food trucks include Roti Rolls, Size Matters BBQ Bus, Size Matters Seafood Trailer, Road Runner Burgers, Ella's Kitchen, The Little Yellow Hamburger House, The Snow Castle, Moonshadow Concessions, Wanda's Castle and Not as Famous Cookie Truck.
