Food Network champ taking high-end culinary experience on the road

Marc Bynum, a three time Food Network "Chopped" champion, is launching a food truck in Farmingdale, Long Island.

The truck, called Hush Food Truck, is an extension of Bynum's restaurant, Hush Bistro, which launched eight years ago, according to a Greater Long Island report.

The Long Island chef and resident also operates a catering brand called Marc Bynum Concepts. The food truck will feature ramen and handheld foods including ribs and burgers with a unique flair (ribs topped with picked watermelon rind, for example).

"In order for you to be the best, you got to eat the best," he told the news outlet. "If I want good Mexican, I'll go to Mexico, cook with the abuelas. I'll make the barbacoa with them in Puebla. I always want it to be authentic, and then once I understand how it is, then I can take my knowledge and make it my own," he said. "So it's not necessarily traditional, it's my tradition. It's my spin on it," he told the news outlet.
