Food truck and brewery event planned in Salt Lake City

The third annual Salt Lake City Food Truck and Brewery Battle will be held from 4 to 10 p.m., Aug. 3, at The Gateway. About 18 food trucks are expected to attend, according to a Salt Lake Tribune report.

Winners of the People's Choice Awards will be announced at 9 p.m. on the Olympic Plaza stage. Guests will vote by text for the winners while Salt Lake Tribune editors will choose the best new food truck and brewery.

Admission is free but an ID is required to buy beer.

The event attracted 10,000 people last year and is sponsored by The Food Truck League, The Gateway, U92 and The Salt Lake Tribune.
