Food truck court opens in Modesto

May 2, 2019

A food truck court called Grub Hubs opened Wednesday in Modesto, California, with three food trucks at the corner of Ninth and G streets, transforming a vacant lot into a destination for workers and families, according to The Modesto Bee. The court will have 19 mobile eateries.

The first three food trucks are Fonzi's Tacos, Franci's Pupusas and Taqueria La Guadalupana.

The site can hold 200 people and has a long shade to protect diners from the summer heat, picnic tables with umbrellas or awnings, and a full bathroom converted from a shipping container. The food court will be open 24 hours a day and will have security in the evenings, according to Gregory Reed, who owns the lot and operates the food court.
