Food truck event planned for Pennsylvania town

The fourth annual Food Truck-a-Palooza presented by GoodTaste! Pittsburgh will be held from noon to 5 p.m. at the Monroeville Convention Center at 209 Mall Plaza Blvd. in Monroeville, Pennsylvania on Saturday, according to a triblive.com report.

Food trucks will include Speals on Wheels, Humus Pittsburgh, Pgh Crepes, Emporio Meetball, Pgh Halal, Burgh Bites, Revival Chili, BG's Italian Ice, La Palapa, Pattie's Pastries, Spectro Dolce and Wicked Ribs N'at.

Activities will also include an ice bar, beer, spirits, global music and a Kid's Zone. Admission is $10.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Monroeville Volunteer Fire Co. No. 6, members of which will walk the site with carbon monoxide detectors and enforce safety measures such as limiting food truck fuel usage to one 20-pound propane tank at a time.

Allegheny County Health Department officials will also inspect the trucks before they serve food.
