The Chicago Food Truck Festival resumes operation this summer, kicking off on July 30, after being shuttered last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event, featuring six trucks, will take place every Friday at the Daley Plaza, according to a NBC5 Chicago report.
"As people return to work and businesses reopen, Food Truck Fest is a great way to celebrate how far we've come in the fight against COVID-19, while supporting small businesses at the same time," Rosa Escareno, the city's business affairs and consumer protection commissioner, said in a statement. "Chicago is the culinary capital of this country, and we are thrilled to bring our amazing food trucks back to the Loop every Friday."
