Food Truck Fridays coming to Longview, Texas

Food Truck Fridays will bring food trucks to Heritage Plaza in Longview, Texas for lunch and dinner on Fridays through October, according to the Longview News-Journal. The event will be sponsored by Texas Bank and Trust and the Longview News-Journal.

A section will be blocked off to motor vehicle traffic to allow for a downtown lunch venue.

On September 14, the city council will consider a request to allow food trucks to operate in certain downtown locations after 5 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends, in addition to operating during weekdays on Green Street at Heritage Plaza.

Council will also consider making food trucks a regular downtown commodity — not just at Heritage Plaza or one day a week.

Trucks that have confirmed participation are Sothy's Kitchen, Mi Casita Plus, Street Licious and The Rolling Hunger.
