Food truck Fridays kicks off this week in Sioux City

The sixth season of the Food Truck Fridays even, in Sioux City, Iowa kicks off June 4, running from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Eight trucks will participate this week, according to a Siouxland Proud report.

While the COVID-19 pandemic prompted most food truck events and festivals to be cancelled in the past year the Sioux City event revamped to a 'grab and go' approach in 2020.

"It's been incredible to see Siouxland's food truck scene rapidly develop over the past six years," Sam Burrish, a volunteer organizer, told the news outlet. "This past year has shown us the scene continues to thrive and evolve. Food culture and entrepreneurship are important to our vibrant community. We're excited to continue highlighting downtown Sioux City with this event."
