Food Truck Fridays on hold in LA area

Kyle Bilowitz and Travis Emi, who renovated a store on the northeast corner of Foothill and Ocean View boulevards in La Canada Flintridge, California last October as a location for "Food Truck Fridays," are trying to scrap together $981 to continue the food truck event, according to a Los Angeles Times report.

They were forced to close the Los Angeles area event after a city official informed them they need the $981 one-year use permit.

Bilowitz and Emi are hopeful to resume the event which was held from 5 to 9 p.m. beginning in July. 

Residents visited and called the city hall after the event was canceled to voice support.
