The Forest Preserve District of Will County plans to host Food Truck Friday from 4:30-7 p.m. Friday, July 13, at Hickory Creek Barrens Nature Preserve on Schoolhouse Road north of Route 30/Lincoln Highway in New Lenox, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Trucks include: Cheesies; Cupcakes for Courage; Smokin' Z BBQ; and Ugly Truckin Sandwiches. Cupcakes for Courage will donate a portion of its proceeds to charities, including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Food Truck Friday will also be held July 27 and Aug. 24 at Prairie Bluff Preserve in Crest Hill; Aug. 3 at Hammel Woods in Shorewood; and Aug. 10 at Hickory Creek in New Lenox.
Forest preserve staff will be on hand at each event to provide information, activities and items for checkout, such as field guides and binoculars.
