Prince George's County, Maryland has approved a food truck hub on an 810,000-square-foot business campus owned by Morning Calm Management, according to WTOP-TV. Food trucks will be on site as often as two days per week from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. initially.
Morning Calm acquired the seven-building Capital Office Park campus in December for $49 million from Mack-Cali Realty. The company is spending $7 million on upgrades.
Morning Calm said it will test the food truck hub over the next few weeks before establishing a list of regularly available food trucks.
The company has reached out to every food truck licensed in Prince George's County. El Pollo Submarine, Tremayne the Chameleon and Southern Peach Wings and Things have already appeared at Capital Office Park. Others coming include Honey's Empanadas, A Place to Walk To, Irie Cafe, Halal Kitchen and Jammin' Flava.
