Food truck park in play for California town

The city of Turlock, California may soon be home to a food truck park.
Torre Reich Construction has submitted plans to city leaders for a park that would be over three acres, according to a Turlock Journal report. The firm is looking to build on two pieces of land at 576 S. Center St. and 590 S. Golden State Boulevard. The food truck park, which would be called Trax Food Park, would feature food trucks, retail vendors as well as live entertainment
"We noticed the food truck trend not only in Modesto, but in other bigger cities as well. Food trucks are popular, so we wanted to take that idea of a truck park, expand on it and add to it with entertainment," Torre Reich Construction Project Coordinator Jenn Weenk told the news outlet. "We plan on having something for everybody."
A planning commission public hearing on the development is set for May 5.
