Food truck park proposed in Toledo, Ohio

The planning commission in Toledo, Ohio, will hear a plan for a food truck park, according to The Blade.

Maggie Bauman, who manages Grumpy's on the Go food truck, is proposing that a park open the half-acre lot on Summit Street in North Toledo's Historic Vistula District. She has requested that the former Andre's Lounge restaurant and its parking lot be rezoned to allow for a food truck park, although the building itself would not be part of the park.

The plan calls for the park to operate from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., on the lot and offer a rotation of two or three food trucks each daily. Tables and chairs would be available, along with portable restrooms.
