Construction is scheduled to begin next month on a 2-acre food truck park at the corner of Brooklyn Avenue near I-37 east of downtown San Antonio, the culmination of a 5-year effort by brothers Michael and Joe Guerrero, according to KSAT-TV.
The park, which includes lighting and pedestrian access, will house six to nine food trucks at a time and will be open seven days a week. The 3-story open-air structure will include space for live entertainment, a commissary, a juice bar and cold storage.
The city is scheduled to vote Thursday on an extra $350,000 in tax increment reinvestment zone development funds for the $2.7 million project.
