Food truck pod pops up in Santa Fe

Foodies in Santa Fe, New Mexico now have a food truck pod to check out.

The pod, called Z Row, is in what was once an empty lot at Old Santa Fe Trail and Paseo de Peralta, according to a Santa Fe New Mexican report.

The food truck lot is at full capacity with a waiting list. Food trucks using space pay $800 a month.

"Pods are a great way to introduce food trucks to a greater population," Matt Geller, president of the National Food Truck Association, told the news outlet. "The whole concept of mobile vending is trying new things. Pods create a social interaction you don't get at a restaurant. You see people carrying food: 'What is that? I have to get some of that.' "
