Food truck rally supports slain officer's family

A food truck rally event raised funds last week to help the family of a police officer slain in the line of duty.

The event, in downtown Tampa, Florida also provided the community with an opportunity to pay their respects to Officer Jesse Madsen, according to an ABC Action News report.

All proceeds from the event were given to the officer's wife and three children and nine trucks participated in the fundraiser.

"I think it was important to show our support to Officer Jesse's family. They've experienced something that I can't relate to and if there's anything to do to take a little pressure off of them, I think it was important," Stephanie Swanz, a rally attendee, told the news outlet.
