July 29, 2019

Bracken's Kitchen, a food truck in Orange County, California, takes food leftovers from hotels and restaurants to provide healthful meals to the needy in Orange County, California, according to a report by Link TV, a Public Media Group of Southern California channel. Chef Bill Bracken, who worked as a restaurant chef for 25 years, receives weekly shipments of leftovers from an organization called Chefs to End Hunger and prepares and delivers meals to relief organizations and people living on the streets.

Last year, Chefs to End Hunger diverted 3 million pounds of food from landfills to 2.5 million meals.
