Food truck rodeo kicking off in Iowa

The first Food Truck Rodeo event in Iowa City will take place June 10.

The event will happen at the South District Market parking lot from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., according to a report at The Gazette.

"We want to create a consistent platform for food truck owners from all over the state of Iowa to come together, showcase their culinary creations, and offer residents and visitors a unique experience," Tasha Lard, lead organizer, told the news outlet.

After June 10 the rodeo will take place every Monday and Tuesday through Aug. 22 and is a collaboration between Southgate Companies, M.O.G.U.L. Consulting, the Pepperwood Plaza Association and the South District Market.
