Food Truck Thursdays a big hit in Odenton, Maryland

April 24, 2017

Opening night of Food Truck Thursdays at the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company in Odenton, Maryland last week brought hundreds of diners willing to stand in line for a plate from a dozen vendors, according to The Capital Gazette.

The quad formed by the trucks gathered in a square next to the fire hall was jammed full of people from just after opening at 4 p.m. until near closing at 8 p.m.

Patient customers, in lines sometimes 30 deep, waited for a chance to order from Greek on the Street, Pasta la Vista Baby, Pizza di Joey, Jimmy's Famous Seafood, Uncle B's BBQ and other choices.

The H2 Food Truck Night started last year, on Tuesdays, at the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company on Ritchie Highway. It was a successful run, but organizers could not iron out a lease there and moved to Odenton.
