Food trucks team up to feed those out of work

April 29, 2020

Several food trucks in Wichita, Kansas along with Telehue Food are helping to feed those in need as the COVID-19 pandemic continues across the country.

Last weekend the collaborative effort, which involved the food truck Bomb BBQ, served up meals to 50 people displaced from employment, according to a KSN.com report.

Now the group is striving to get the word out about donating to the effort and serving food so more can be helped. The next free meal event will take place May 9.

"We are just going to open that up to anybody who is displaced by this COVID-19 crisis. If you are laid off, a food worker, we will even do first responders. Anybody who wants to show up, no questions asked we will give you a free meal," Troy Evans, Bomb BBQ owner, told the news outlet. Those wanting to help can click here.
