Forty food trucks are expected to compete in a two-day competition at the New York State Fair the first weekend in September, using ingredients made or grown in New York, according to the Times Herald-Record.
Fairgoers can buy samples for $3 to vote for their favorites. A People's Choice award will be announced each day, and a food industry panel will declare Judges' Choice winners.
Last year, 17 food trucks competed and more than 2,500 fairgoers voted. The Meatball Truck's Meatball Cup won the People's Choice award last year, while The Silo Truck's Telekinetic Fried Chicken grabbed the Judges' Choice award.
