Food trucks to compete for award during Delaware event on August 5

Ten food trucks will compete to win the coveted Blue Earl People's Choice Award during the Food Truck Throwdown Saturday, August 5 in Smyrna, Delaware, according to The Smyrna-Clayton Sun-Times. The award will be voted on by those attending the event, which also includes live music, games and face painting,

Blue Earl Brewing in Smyrna is hosting the event from noon to 9 p.m., at 210 Artisan Drive in the Smyrna Business Park off of Wheatley's Pond Road.

Admission is free. Visitors under the age of 21 must be accompanied by an adult.

Besides the Blue Earl People's Choice Award voted on by the attendees, a panel of food experts will judge dishes prepared by each food truck.
