Food trucks to serve Seattle-Tacoma airport cell phone lot

October 2, 2017

The Port of Seattle will debut a pilot program today for food trucks to serve the cell phone lot of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Several food trucks will be on hand in the morning for media to sample as well as interview vendors, Port of Seattle Commissioner Stephanie Bowman and Lori Johnson, executive director of the Washington State Food Truck Association, according to a press release.

The three-month pilot program marks an opportunity to grow local, small business activity. This will also enhance the experience for users of the cell phone lot, with food trucks scheduled twice a day, seven days a week, from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 5 pm. to 11 p.m.

For this first day, several local food truck vendors will be on hand, including The Grilled Cheese Experience, The People's Burger and Ezell's Express II.
