Chef Henry Abuto, who owns the ByWasonga catering company in Forth Worth, Texas, is launching a food truck venture and official "brand" this month.

The truck is called ByWasonga Presents: The Food Truck, and reflects a dream come true, according to a Fort Worth Magazine report.

"Sometimes dreams you didn't even know you had are coming true," Abuto told the news outlet. "If you could tell 9-year-old Henry when he moved here from Kenya (Abuto hails from Kisumu) that one day you are going to be running a food truck in your hometown, I would have been like, 'There is no way.' It's literally a dream come true."

The truck's fare features a mix of cuisine from Texas and Abuto's hometown in Kenya as well as his mom's culinary influence, including a samosa basket, Kenyan-style tacos and chicken and waffles.

The name includes the word, "presents" since there will be guest chefs showcasing their cuisines down the road.

The truck's debut will take place June 19 at a fish fry held in celebration of Juneteenth at Tulips, located at 112 St Louis Ave.
