Fox News journalist John Stossel has called on government to stop overregulating food trucks. Stossel stated in an opinion piece that increased regulations, such as rules that forbid trucks to park near established restaurants, make life hard for food trucks.
Stossel claimed that food truck regulations in Chicago and Baltimore are designed to protect the interests of brick-and-mortar restaurants.
He noted that the Institute for Justice is helping food trucks in both cities fight the regulations.
Getting rid of government regulations will give consumers more food choices, Stossel argued.
