Salsa Fresca Mexican Grill to introduce food truck

Salsa Fresca Mexican Grill, with locations in New York and Connecticut, has announced a new food truck program for its fast casual concept.

The food truck program follows the restaurant chain's recent announcement of a franchise initiative, the goal of which is to open 100 new stores within five years, according to a press release.

The food truck will become a regular feature at special events in the New York and Connecticut markets, bringing Salsa Fresca to area festivals, concerts and other community events. The truck will also be available for private events.

The food truck will carry a wide selection of Salsa Fresca's most popular offerings, including tacos, burrito bowls, nachos and more. The restaurant's "always fresh" concept will be reinforced in the food truck offerings, which will continue to use fresh ingredients prepared on-site.

Patrons will be able to track food truck appearances through Salsa Fresca postings on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
