Food truck operators will no longer be required to submit fingerprints and post a $500 security bond to operate in Fresno, California, Mayor Lee Brand announced Wednesday, according to The Fresno Bee.
Food truck operators objected to the requirements after they scrambled to participate in FresYes Fest last weekend, an event that drew 20 food trucks and more than 10,000 people.
Every food truck operator who posted the bond, whether for FresYes Fest or any other time, will be refunded, city officials confirmed.
