Grant to allow Minnesota school to acquire a food trailer run by students

January 14, 2019

The Bush Foundation recently awarded Byron High School in Byron, Minnesota, a $45,000 grant to acquire a food trailer that will be operated by students, according to the Post Bulletin. Students and staff will be involved in all aspects of operating the truck.

The industrial technology department will maintain the equipment; art students and staff will provide décor; information technology students will help track inventory and sales.

Family and consumer science teacher Ryan Radke, who initiated the idea, said part of the project will be deciding where to park the vehicle.
