Great Food Truck Race hits the road in Alaska

The latest season of the Great Food Truck Race, a Food Network production, is taking to the roads of Alaska and called "Battle for the North."

During the season seven food trucks will compete in various challenges, battling both competitors and the formidable environment, according to a Foodsided report.

The race kicked off this past weekend in Anchorage and an initial challenge included crushing a 200-pound block of ice to get keys to the food truck.

The Great Food Truck Race Alaska will air on Food Network on Sundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
