Hawaii officials close Dick's Lechon food truck for violations

Hawaii state officials shut down the Dick's Lechon food truck for not having an approved support kitchen. The Hawaii Department of Health discovered that the food was being prepared at a home kitchen instead of a support kitchen in the truck, which was under construction, according to a report by Star Advertiser

It is not permitted to make food at a home kitchen by the state and the food truck will remain closed until an approved support kitchen is finished, according to a report. Officials will do a follow-up inspection once it is complete.

Dick's Lechon serves a variety of a dishes such as lechon bely, lechon fried rice, pancit and pork chops.
