The Southern Nevada Health District shut down two food trucks following inspections on June 23: Best Mobile Catering Service and Kenya's Catering, according to Eater Las Vegas.
Inspectors found a lack of adequate refrigeration on Best Mobile Catering Service. The truck has earned a B, passing and A grade from the health department since 2015.
Inspectors found an imminent health hazard on Kenya's Catering due to lack of refrigeration. Three other inspections going back to 2014 resulted in A grades.
The health district conducts unannounced inspections once a year at minimum. It posts inspections online about five days afterwards.
The district shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. The restaurants can request a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
