The Hickory, North Carolina city council recently approved guidelines to allow food trucks and other vendors to operate in six city parking lots and six city parks, according to The Hickory Record.
The regulations approved Tuesday were less restrictive than those presented by city staff at the May 2 council meeting. All food vendors, both trucks and carts, will pay a $25 annual fee with their application permit.
Two vendors are allowed in each park. Spaces at both parks and parking lots are available on a first-come basis. The number allowed in each parking lot varies.
