Students at Eisenhower High School in Russell, Pennsylvania, created food truck concepts as part of a consumer science program, including a name and menu, as a final project of a semester-long family consumer science program, according to a Times Observer report.
Five teams presented concepts to a group of judges and served a dish from the menu. The dishes included hot dogs, cinnamon rolls, pasta, coffees and bean quesadillas.
The judges based scores on theme, design, creativity, effort, presentation, visual appeal and taste.
The Bean Bosses, a vegetarian menu, edged the Spaghetti Yeti (Italian) for top honors. Charlotte's Web featuring chocolate sour cream cake and sugar cookies on the side came in third, followed by Dr. Seuss and the Three Little Pigs.
