Homeless trespassing plagues Austin food truck park

Food trucks have been leaving an Austin, Texas food truck park because of homeless people trespassing, according to a KXAN-TV report.

Fernando Letemendia, who owns St. Elmo's Backyard on South Congress Avenue, said homeless campers have been a problem since the park opened two and a half years ago, but the problem has gotten worse in recent months.

A police spokesperson said they cannot arrest someone for criminal trespassing unless a trespass notice has been filed against them which they refuse to obey.
