Hot chicken food truck arrives in Texas

Texas is now home to a food truck that's all about hot chicken.

The Pete's Hot chicken Nashville Caliente food truck is serving up its fare at the Besame Bar and Food Truck Park at 511 East Grayson Street, according to a Kens5 report.

"We were one of the first to do hot chicken in San Antonio," co-owner Kevin Ortiz told the news outlet. "We noticed there was like a lack of it around here and we wanted to be ahead of the curve."

The menu offers five levels of "hot," and one secret level, six, that patrons must request.

"We play with peppers of different varieties from paprika, cayenne, habanero, ghost pepper and Carolina reaper," co-owner Cesar Hernandez told the news outlet. "Definitely a heat level for you if we ain't packing the heat."
