Rock Island, Illinois, will have a public space for food trucks at the corner of 30th Street and 14th Avenue that will be open for use near the end of May, according to Ryan Berger, the city’s planning and redevelopment administrator, The Dispatch-Argus reported.
The space will seat 25 people and will include benches and chairs, picnic and café-style tables, planters, bike racks, a bike inflation station and a bike stand with tools to repair bikes.
A policy decision on how to regulate food trucks would need to be approved by the city council before trucks can come to the site, Berger said in the article.
