Jacksonville food truck event to raise funds for child’s liver transplant

May 17, 2019

Jacksonville food trucks will gather in Mandarin, Florida on Saturday to raise funds for a 3-year-old Jacksonville boy in need of a liver transplant, according to First Coast News. The food truck fundraiser will be from 4-8 p.m. at 9600 San Jose Blvd.

Bentley Bullard suffers from a rare metabolic disorder, Propionic Academia, affecting his liver and causing serious health issues and potential brain damage.

A liver transplant would give the child an 11-year life expectancy, according to Children's Orange Transplant Association, which is assisting him. Donations can be made directly to the COTA website.

The family has raised around $32,000 towards a $45,000 goal.

Food trucks will include Rite on Que, Sweeto Burrito, Son of a Butcher, Blazin Azn, Saffron, Chubby Burrito, Blazin Buffalo, Le Petite Cheri, Guanabana Ice Pops & More and Pet Wants Jax Beach.
