The city of Jamestown, Rhode Island isn't happy, or supportive, when it comes to a state proposal to allow food trucks into Beavertail State park.
In fact the town council agreed unanimously to issue a letter to the state's department of environmental management indicating its strong objection, according to a Jamestown Press report.
The letter states that allowing food truck operators into the park would negatively alter both the park's environment and visitor viewing, and mentioned potential traffic and trash issues.
The state last summer ran a program that let 16 trucks serve on state owned recreational land.
